LIVERPOOL’S TERRY FOX RUN A SUCCESS

Another successful Terry Fox run was held in Liverpool on yesterday (Sunday).

About 30 people registered for the run which left from Queens Place.

Pledges and donations were raised for cancer.

Organizer Robyn Anthony told the Pulse “it was nice to see people running and getting donations to the cause.”

Congratulations.

  1. Thanks for your coverage of the 2014 Terry Fox Run in Liverpool, Alex. The Run had a small attendance this year – 12 walkers and our favourite (also very cute) support dog, Marly. But the results were big – $849 raised for cancer research. Thanks everyone!

Thanks as well to the staff at QPEC for all their help; to Atlantic Superstore for the refreshments; the Advance, Pulse, QCCR and local businesses for helping publicize the Run; and of course our volunteers.

Schools in Queens will hold their Terry Fox Run events later in September. Be sure to lend your support and help keep alive Terry’s dream of finding a cure for cancer.
